Kevin Maney at USA Today took note of the UK launch and i-newswire listed the Sidekick as a top holiday gift pick.

Sports Illustrated reported that "Tennessee redshirt freshman Candace Parker Parker is flashing through pictures of her four-month-old Saint Bernard puppy--named Fendi 'because she is very high maintenance'-- on her pink T-Mobile Sidekick."
